We use cookies to try and give you a better experience in Freshdesk.
You can learn more about what kind of cookies we use, why, and how from our Privacy policy. If you hate cookies, or are just on a diet, you can disable them altogether too. Just note that the Freshdesk service is pretty big on some cookies (we love the choco-chip ones), and some portions of Freshdesk may not work properly if you disable cookies.
We’ll also assume you agree to the way we use cookies and are ok with it as described in our Privacy policy, unless you choose to disable them altogether through your browser.
OVERVIEW
In partnership with the University of Cambridge, we updated our RHINO scoring algorithm for 2026. This reflects real-world legibility with tighter tolerances for pass and fail.
We have gathered user feedback following these changes and listened to your challenges. Hopefully, you see this reflected with the updates included in this release.
Our definition of success hasn’t changed:
We continue to help YOU create best-in-class, glance-readable, mobile-ready hero images, PDP Carousel images and Retail media banners that let’s online shoppers quickly and comfortably read critical text.
What’s New?
Help Desk
Rhino now has an integrated help centre in place to provide a hub for help articles and FAQs as well as the ability to raise support issues and even request new features to be considered in our roadmap. You can access the help desk and context-specific articles from the new buttons at the top of the screen.
Pass Size Indicator
Rhino now displays the percentage (%) distance from the required font size to pass. This will help your team make informed design decisions and achieve the required standard which is to pass at AA. This feature is available when mousing (hovering) over the ❌ or ✅ symbols.
New Image Sizes
A 20mm North American (US and Canada) Hero image thumbnail size is also available in the drop-down parameters menu. This feature is for brands whose retailers have larger thumbnail image sizes.
PDP Gallery Carousel images can also now be tested using the 60mm (Full width Mobile) dropdown.
Single 'A' Accessibity
Cambridge Visual Clarity now includes Single A Accessibility (30%) alongside AA (50%) and AAA (70-80%) inclusion.
Please note that new image sizes and the A level will not be available for images tested prior to this release.
Result Mapping
We now assign numbers to text results to make mapping results to the bounding boxes on the image easier. Hovering over the boxes will also now highlight the corresponding text on the image.
UI/UX Improvements
We have made several UI/UX improvements, including colouring the boxes on results based on the overall pass/fail rather than only APCA result and refreshing our PDF report layout.
Bug Fixes
We value any feedback you would like to provide, please email rhino@weareneem.com
